QC Inspection Coordinator

Our Client is looking for a QC Inspection Coordinator, on a contract basis, location in Aberdeen.

To provide adequate support to the QA/QC TL to ensure that manufacturing, inspection and engineering services and contracts for Drilling and Wells activities are in place to support the achievement of these objectives and that these are managed efficiently and cost effectively and that productive and positive relationships with contractors and suppliers are developed and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Role is largely involved in Inspection coordination.
  • Office based role and would suit candidates at the start of their career in Quality; or worked in a similar role coordinating inspection/testing.
  • Experience of inspection coordination, working with TPI’s, reviewing and dispositioning reports, skilled in statistical analysis (to look at the data produced).
  • Chasing up suppliers to close out issues.

Daily Drilling Operations

  • Actively follow Drilling and Completion operations.
  • Record, track and follow up on operational & equipment failures.
  • Provide input into the Company HSE reporting systems.

Vendor Performance monitoring

  • Initiate progress and follow up of performance failure investigations with Vendor’s & Service Providers.
  • Present investigation findings to Drilling and Wells Operations and Engineers, complete processes associated with close out of all investigations.
  • Production and analysis of QA/QC data for reporting and input to continuous improvement processes.

Company Inspection / Assurance process

  • Oversee all inspection activities & assignments undertaken by the Company Inspection Service Provider on behalf of the Company.
  • Provide QC/Inspection guidance & support to other internal departments using the Company Inspection Service Provider Contract.
  • Technical review and processing of all Inspection Reports.
  • Undertake the control of all key documentation necessary to support Inspection Assignments.
  • Undertake the approval & competency process for Company Inspection Service Provider proposed Inspectors & Auditors.
  • Overseeing periodic and planned operational and service performance review meetings with the Company Appointed Inspection Service Provider.
  • Conduct Audits and on-site verification as required to ensure compliance with Inspection process
  • Undertake the control of Vendor & Service Provider Concessions & Derogations.

Provision of Equipment & Services

  • Oversee internal QAQC interface Meetings.
  • Provide QC technical input to Contracts, Purchasing & Materials during provision of equipment.
  • Provide QC Technical input to Drilling & Wells & Operations during provision of services and temporary equipment.

Technical Support

  • Provide QC/Inspection support during Quotation, Tender, Contract or Order Meetings with Vendors & Service Providers.

Drilling & Wells Quality Management System

  • Complete QC / Inspection training & presentations with both internal & external parties.
  • Provide input into the generation and implementation of Process Maps for key Drilling & Wells processes.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Foundation training and qualifications in Quality Control & Inspection disciplines preferred.
  • Experience in an oilfield service or manufacturing environment.
  • Trained Internal Auditor.
  • Experience working within QHSE management, systems and processes environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Professional Applications software.
