FULL DESCRIPTION

Our client, an oil and gas operator is seeking an Operations Lead to work in their Aberdeen office, with occasional site visits, both on and offshore. Ideally to start ASAP, working on a PAYE contract basis, through to the end of 2024, potentially longer. Hybrid working arrangement offered – 3 days in the office / 2 days from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the development of operating integrity framework and its assurance and governance processes across the company.
  • Ensure best practice execution of operations within company’s operated assets
  • Fulfils the role of Operations Lead under company’s Technical Authority & Engineering Authority standard and framework
  • Drive improvements to the Permit to Work process and competency and training
  • Provides subject matter expert input across the full lifecycle of all operated assets


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a Lead Operating Integrity role
  • Good understanding of operational management and operations readiness and assurance
  • Good understanding of major hazard legislation and its implication for operational controls
  • Good understanding of Process Safety Management and the practical applications of an operating integrity framework.
  • A decisive leader who sets high standards and drives performance. Is agile, flexible, open to challenge and able to challenge appropriately.
  • Great communication skills that informs/shares knowledge clearly and unambiguously, influences and persuades in a constructive way, sometimes influencing a change in the course of conversations, to gain agreement and collaboration.
  • Leads and promotes organisational change; makes collaborative, high-quality and timely decisions; takes informed risks and learns from failures.
  • Strong operational leadership and management skills commensurate with influencing large operational teams in Major Accident and Hazard environments
  • Recognised leader in Operating Integrity
  • Effective Financial management of costs
  • Maintains and continues to develop the competencies necessary to carry out the role to the required standard.
  • Degree preferred, however not essential with the right experience
  • The post demands in depth experience of the oil and gas industry including significant experience within operations at supervisory and management levels to manage the diverse range of activities.
