Data Entry Operator

Our Client is looking for a Data Entry Operator, on a contract basis, location in Aberdeen.

Working within the finance function, our client is looking for a data entry operator to update and maintain information on our company databases and computer systems.
Data entry operator responsibilities include collecting and entering data in the company’s ERP system and maintaining accurate records of company information.
The ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and various forms. Previous experience as a data entry clerk or similar position would be an advantage.
Ultimately, a successful data entry operator will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date and useable information in our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Entering data from source documents into the company ERP system within time limits
  • Assisting with the creation of BoM’s in excel.
  • Data entry of BoMs (Bill of Materials), Customer details / Vendor details / Material Master generation and amendments into the company’s ERP system.
  • Assisting with the development of exporting reports from ERP system to excel to extract and present management reports for various departments.
  • Assisting with reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
  • Input data from various text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Compile verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry or re-enter data.
  • Assist with research and obtain further information for incomplete documents or details.
  • Assist with generating reports and store completed work in designated locations.
  • Scan documents and print files, as and when needed
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Keep all information confidential
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous data entry work experience, with MS Office and ERP programs would be an advantage
  • Attention to detail
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
